All tours cost €150 per person, per day, except for the Spouse’s Tour on Thursday which is complimentary for paying spouses.
Monday 3rd September
Our first stop will be the Duomo. This famous cathedral dominates the Florence skyline. Up close, this huge cathedral is overwhelming. We will also see the Baptistry, a beautiful octagonal building dedicated to St. John the Baptist – the patron saint of Florence. Along the way to see the most famous bridge in the world – the Ponte Vecchio, we’ll see Piazza della Rupubblica.
Tuesday 4th September
One of the two most beautiful pieces of art that exists is the Statue of David. We will visit the Accademia, and even avoid the lines. After another terrific Italian lunch, we will go to the Uffizi Museum; and avoid the lines here too. The Uffizi is a powerful expression of the extraordinary role Florence has played in the history of art.
Wednesday 5th September
The Bargello, with its beautiful courtyard, is considered to be the finest collection of Renaissance sculpture in the world. The Palazzo Vecchio has been Florence’s town hall since its completion in 1302.
